Unexpectedly Opera is an initiative based in Toronto, Canada. We have commissioned a new, original opera, and will perform it in Shelters for the benefit of all.
Our Partners
We are partnered with Neighbourhood Unitarian Universalist Congregation under the auspices of its Social Action, Education, and Outreach activities. Our focus is external to the congregation and our beneficiaries are the public, without regard to any affiliation, religion, or fixed address.
Our Performers
Our Theatrical Director works with us with the permission of the Canadian Actors' Equity Association. Our artists, musicians, singers, and performers are professionals, semi-professionals, students, and amateurs. Should people in our target community wish to become directly involved in performance, there will be opportunities.

Our Audience
We expect to sell about half our seats to the public, with the other half available at no charge to people with no fixed address and to shelter residents.
